Progressive Politics UK
Friday, June 06, 2003
The aim of this blog is of course to encourage discussion concerning progressive politics in the UK. However, in this day and age we would be naïve to not occasionally include a few comments on the outside world. Only the blinkered would not realise that much of the UK’s foreign and domestic policies are influenced, and even dictated, by Brussels or Washington. It is in our interest to keep a close eye on these two centres of political intrigue.

With Blair’s failure to give the British people an independent inquiry into the “weapons of mass deception” fiasco, we may need to make do with the US Congressional hearings on the subject. Who ever said British governments were transparent and accountable to Parliament?

Also the race for the Democratic nomination is becoming lukewarm, if not exactly hot! The whole of the World has an interest in this one. Can the Democrats put up a viable contender to Bush, Rove and their Neo–Con henchmen?

Progressivepoliticsuk will keep a close eye on these events!
A forum for progressive political thought! No stale ideologies just innovative ideas!
